3.19 Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy
The purpose of this policy is to assure worker fitness for duty and to protect our employees and the public from the risks posed by the use of alcohol and prohibited substances. As such, it is the policy of this school district to comply with the U.S. Department of Transportation regulations 49 CFR Part 29, 40, 382, 391, and 392 as amended, that mandate urine drug testing and breath alcohol testing for persons who are subject to Commercial Drivers License (CDL) requirements and perform safety-sensitive functions. This policy will also comply with 39-2-304 MCA.
