Welcome to the Helena Public Schools’ website. As the new superintendent, it is an honor to be serving in this capacity to ensure the education of our children. As a native and life-long educator in Montana, I understand the importance of educating all students so they have the best opportunity to be productive members in their community and reach their full potential. This enormous responsibility demands the schools to partner with all stakeholders for the benefit of each student. Whether it is volunteering at a local school, attending a student event or being an avid supporter, let me take this opportunity to invite you to become involved to ensure the needs of all students are met.
Lastly, as you enjoy the summer, please make reading an everyday ritual for your child. This activity will help them hone the skills needed to be successful not only in school, but also in life. Education is ever changing and very demanding - from advancements in technology to preparing for a global economy - it is our responsibility to ensure our students meet and exceed these challenges. As partners in the education of our children the best thing we can do is to instill the love of reading.
