Community Events for Kids "Application to Post an Event"

 
 
 
The Helena School District is pleased to help local organizations distribute information about non-profit community services or activities for students. No materials may be posted or distributed without prior approval from the School District Central Office. This application and review process is necessary because state law and district policy prohibit some types of materials from being distributed in public schools. For instance, Montana law (section 20-7-112 MCA) requires that “a publication of a sectarian or denominational character may not be distributed in any school.” Another precaution is that Board of Trustees policy 7.03 prohibits soliciting among students, ensuring that “students shall not be used during school hours for promotion of activities not related to school work; nor shall they be used for selling tickets for such activities.” In this application process, the School District reserves the right at any time to request written substantiation of the applicant’s non-profit status before proceeding with distribution or posting of materials.

Senior All Night Party
