Professional Development / PIR 2011-2012
Information for Professional Development/PIR classes can be found on the District Catalog on My Learning Plan (www.mylearningplan.com ). Please click on the either the District Catalog or Calendar link to view upcoming classes; clicking on a class title will provide more information about that class.
To register for classes, select the Enroll Now button on the class page.
Note: As a courtesy to the instructor and other participants if you are unable to attend a workshop for which you have registered, please log into My Learning Plan and select the activity title from the Approved and in Progress section of your My Learning Plan page. Scroll down on the next page and select the Drop link to drop a class.
Should a workshop need to be cancelled, those educators who had registered for the workshop will receive an e-mail from My Learning Plan notifying them of the cancellation.
Guest teachers and educators not employed by Helena Public Schools who are interested in attending professional development activities sponsored by HPS, should read the directions located further down on this page. Once the directions have been followed , interested parties should contact Noel Cooper at 406-324-2031 to inquire about enrolling in PD listed in the catalog. Educators outside of HPS will be assessed a fee for participation.
Professional Development Proposals
Proposals for Professional Development/PIR and for New Professionalism funds may now be submitted on My Learning Plan. Proposals may be submitted at any time. Proposals are reviewed throughout the year as they are received. Please allow a couple of weeks for the review process to be completed.

Upcoming PIR Classes
Please click on the link below for the directions to view upcoming Helena Public School District PIR classes. If you are interested in attending any of the listed classes, please call Noel Cooper at 324-2031, to review participation requirements and enrollment numbers.
Please note that there is a $35.00 fee for half day (3 hours) classes and a $70.00 fee for full day classes (6 hours) for out of district or non-district employee participation. All classes provided by Helena Public Schools are available for OPI Renewal Units.
